Lions John and Gerry Douglass, Jeanette Lang and Georgia Qualls enjoy the last few minutes of slow time before the screening, also helping were Lions Chuck and Charlie.  It was a good event to set up both the iScreen and Pedia Vision systems for a side-by-side comparison of results.

This was the first look at the PV system in a working environment.  While the PV system takes a few minutes longer to set up due to the addition of a printer it provides the ability to produce pass or fail results at the time of the screening.  The PV system is a hand held "camera" that takes a series of 16 readings for each result, which can be a bit time intensive.  However a stand ( in the early stages of engineering) which holds the "camera" steady and places the child's head at the correct focus distance proved to make the system every bit as quick and easy to use as our current equipment.

We will be able to draw conclusions on the findings of the comparison after we receive the screening evaluation information back from the participating Eye Dr's examinations.
